How to Apply
Applications for employment with TCJS are submitted electronically through www.WorkInTexas.com (WIT). All applicants selected for interviews will be subject to a criminal background and credit check. State of Texas Application and personal resume are required. Any additional documentation of accreditation or licensing should be submitted along with application and resume. Selected candidate for the position will be subject to financial disclosure requirements as outlined in Texas Government Code 572. Paper applications are not accepted at the TCJS office.
Interviews
If the job seeker is included in the interview pool, the hiring division will contact the individual to schedule an interview. Only those applicants interviewed will be notified of final selection or non-selection in writing by the hiring unit. If a job seeker is not selected for an interview, the job seeker will not be contacted by the Texas Commission on Jail Standards.
